Drink Water to Lose Weight
Drink water to lose weight. I kindof figure you know this. And I certainly believe it’s true. The people I know who’ve participated in those “medically-supervised” weight loss programs all drink tons of water. Your body needs water to function properly, plain and simple. You just can’t argue with that, you know it’s true. But the big question is, Do YOU do it? Are you drinking water to lose weight? It’s the simplest of things you can do. Takes virtually no time (well except for all the peeing!), costs nothing, and you don’t have to think too much about it. Well, actually, you DO have to think about it some, because there’s something you may not know, which is that bottled water is not so good for you. I don’t know a great deal about all the contaminants, but here’s a brief excerpt: “Researchers found 38 impurities in the 10 brands of bottled water they analyzed. This included disinfection by-products, fertilizer residue, traces of pain medication, solvents, chemicals used in the plastics industry, bacteria, and radioactive strontium. Across the 10 brands, the researchers found an average of 8 pollutants in each.”

So I guess even in bottled water, there’s a lot of junk. Gross, huh? I’ve heard that the plastic bottle itself releases harmful substances into the water. Plus, using those little store bought bottles, even if you recycle them, still not great for the environment. What do I do? I got to the water that sells distilled water. I’ve found that to be the best process for clean water. It’s 30 cents a gallon, so it doesn’t cost much. Then I purchase a certain type of reusable plastic water bottle made by
Enviroproducts.
You could also use those fancy-looking (expensive) Sigg bottles, but I don’t like the lid on them. You could also get a water purifier for your faucet. I have not researched these at all but I’m sure you could find a consumer reports or something. There are so many different ones, some very expensive, so I’d definitely find some parameters to judge performance. Anyway, got a little sidetracked there, but how do you expect to purify your body if the water you use is dirty? So, the main topic was about drinking water to lose weight. And yes, this is a very big factor in quick weight loss success. Definitely strive for a minimum of 8-8ounce glasses a day. And no, I don’t consider any other beverages to count. Well, I guess I would accept an herbal tea with no sweetener. If eight glasses sounds like a lot, well, it really isn’t so…you’ll just have to deal with it. Ha! My suggestion is to find one of those rather large jugs you can haul around wherever you go and calculate how many times you need to fill it to reach your goal. (no less than 64 oz) Another tip is to down a glass first thing in the morning. It’s strange that somehow you may actually notice a difference in your energy just from this initial drink. I bring a glass up the night before and set it right next to my bed. First thing, before I even get out of bed, I drink it down.
