Finding quick ways to lose weight can be akin to navigating a minefield. Tons of information and products are out there, but who knows whether those are really a good fit, a healthy choice, or even DO ANYTHING for you. So, I always err on the side of natural, healthy solutions, even though they may take longer to get the results you want. I know, I know, ‘attainable’ is so boring, that is until you reach it, and then it can be pretty exciting and especially motivating to keep on. 2. Get Moving: Of course you know that exercise is a tremendous aid in the quick ways to lose weight arena. But I had someone once tell me this phrase and it’s really stuck with me. “You don’t KNOW it, unless you are LIVING it.” Priceless gem of a statement. Well, sadly, most of us are still not even getting enough water into our system to function properly. That means that even if you severely cut calories, your body may not be able to flush out a lot of gunk from your system. To me, this is one of the easiest of quick ways to lose weight. You can do it today with really no expenditure of time or money. Shoot for eight 8 oz glasses a day for starters, but if you can handle that, no problem, then continue building up to about double that. Yeah, it is a lot. I have an in-depth article on the

4. Eat Smaller Portions: I saw this chart a while back that showed how portion sizes have grown over the last 20 years or something. It was incredible and appalling. Have you ever seen that Man vs Food show? Now that’s a little disgusting to me. All those outrageously sized foods…I can’t help but think of people who are starving in this world and what they would think about attempting to stuff your face with as much food as you could. Just for fun. Anyway, I use a salad plate instead of a dinner plate a lot of times and I tend to keep my portions a lot smaller just from that. 5. Get the Nutrition You Need: More than likely your body is not getting all the nutrients it needs to run efficiently…even if you do, in fact, eat outrageously healthy. Just because the quality of food is not as high as it once was. So now we are expected to eat like nine servings of fruit and vegetables a day, which is, in my book, quite a feat. Getting a healthy fat into your daily regimen is one really important aspect of quick ways to lose weight. Fish oil has been getting a lot of press lately. I am not sure of the value of it. I like coconut oil personally. 6. Don’t Skip Meals: Oh man, do I ever overeat and make poor choices when I skip meals and let myself get too hungry. That’s no way to lose weight! 7. Have some cheatos: Ha! Ha! You can’t eat healthy ALL THE TIME. I do indulge in some junk food sometimes. Because I don’t think you will succeed if you are constantly feeling deprived of all foods you enjoy. If you can have a little bit of something decadent and feel happier and satisfied, without losing control and pigging out, well, that seems like a pretty balanced approach to me. 8. Believe in yourself: A lot of women have struggled with weight loss for so long that they really just give up. Losing confidence in yourself is no way to achieve any of your goals. So, if you feel low self-esteem and seriously doubt your abilities, you’ve got to first get your head in the right place before addressing the logistics of an exercise and nutrition plan. 9. Keep a journal: Now I’ve never been one to keep a diary, but it really does make a difference to at least track your calories, water, and exercise. If you suspect you are more of an emotional binge eater or something like that, then you may want to delve into the more touchy-feely emotional stuff and document it all to figure out what may trigger you.
